We start our editorial design projects by meeting with the client to discuss all the relevant details and decide which line we are going to follow. Once we have understood the client’s needs, we continue our search for inspirational references, deciding on the structure, the layout, choosing what resources to use – fonts, colours, and so on… and off we go!
We usually take charge of the entire process, from the first phases prior to the art direction, continuing with the design and layout, and finally the production; but if the client specifically requests it, we can look after a single phase of the process.
When the project calls for editorial design and production we also seek out the appropriate resources. Bookbinding, finishes, special paper types... everything comes together to ensure that the corporate magazine, the handbill or the agenda, to mention just three examples, really stand out.
Among our projects you will find the layout of magazines on all kinds of subjects (fashion, supplements on interior decoration and trends, photography and design, etc.) and the redesign of corporate magazines, which we give a brand new image that is more appealing to readers, prioritizing the content and making it easier to read. One example of this is the corporate magazine we revamped for the pharmaceutical cooperative Cecofar.
Another of our strengths is brochure design. Our projects range from a simple executive report to meticulously-designed and beautifully-crafted books for luxury real estate promotions. Each project is given the optimum treatment to achieve the communication objectives established by the client, as evidenced by our brochures for Knight Frank.
Although we treat every project with the same meticulous attention, we are particularly passionate about editorial design and for this reason in this section of our portfolio you are likely to find some of our best designs. The magazine Ventana de Luz, for example, was one of the first projects in this field handled by Tea for two and for that reason we feel a special affection for it.
